The history of FIDIA Group SA has no roots but foundations. Because it was born with cement: it was Sisto Pitocco who founded it and worked in Alatri, transmitting his knowledge to his two sons, Dario and Giuseppe.
Sixtus's teaching was that: “jobs must be clean, carried out quickly, with qualified labor, in a workmanlike manner.”
The reality of FIDIA GROUP starts from afar, with the work done by Sisto.
Sisto had a small artisan company in Alatri, where Dario and Giuseppe took their first steps.
There they understood the meaning and value of the word 'work'. This is why they wanted to keep a family-run company: the two brothers share visions and choices.

But you'll always keep getting your hands dirty working hard for hours on end. I'm not ashamed to say that I help my workers especially when it comes to working with marble.”

The real turning point came at the end of the 80s: to be precise, in 1988, when FIDIA won the contract for the construction of the “White City” in Veroli, the Villa Azzurra Clinic in Mentana and the renovation of the INI building in Grottaferrata.
These projects were a springboard that propelled the company onto the national stage, thanks to their precision, cleanliness and adherence to the highest standards of execution.
The renovation of a luxury villa of more than 3,000 square meters belonging to a famous fashion entrepreneur has led to the decision to focus on building luxury villas, buildings and high-end shopping centers.
This decision was clear, eliminating low-cost, low-quality work and focusing on luxury projects both in Italy and abroad. In 2011, following the economic crisis, I decided to move to Switzerland, specifically to Geneva.
The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Geneva has entrusted the renovation of 450 rooms and 450 bathrooms. It was an unprecedented project, something sensational and exciting, a project with an Italian flavor, with materials made in Italy. It was like a domino effect and soon a lot of orders came in from all over Switzerland.
The bet we made in Italy, focusing on quality, proved to be the winning card.
